In the Divinity Department, boys receive lessons on all major world religions and taught to Common Entrance level.

From the first term in the Junior School, boys learn about the School Chapel and Caldicott's patron saint - St Francis of Assisi. This gives the boys an understanding of the services regularly held in the school Chapel.

As the boys progress through the school a greater emphasis is placed on scriptural and theological topics. These are studied alongside modern contemporary issues which are frequently taken directly from that morning's newspapers. This increases the boys' knowledge and understanding of the world in which they live.

Emphasis on discussion and debate, especially at senior level, is greatly encouraged to further the boys' understanding of the subject and wider communities.
